Besieged by intelligent software
«Basti pensare ai software intelligenti per l’interpretazione dei trend di mercato, che permettono di costruire campagne pubblicitarie mirate, a quelli for strategic planning of activities in business or computer systems that are different databases talk to each other. "
On the Stock Exchange from time programs are used for the purchase of securities: Richard Balarkas, CEO of Instinet Europe, points out that European equity markets are mostly driven by algorithms that can perform sophisticated analysis on securities and market evolution. These programs are not always kept pace with the dynamic characteristic of the bags, but as you find the right software would be to make money millionaires, scientists (and companies) do not stop to test new products: the goal is to Krishnen Vytelingum University of of Southampton who, along with colleagues from the University of Bristol, has developed a trading program better than 5% of the existing ones is more dynamic (changing his aggression on the behavior of other agents) and can set the choices on the basis of 'analysis of past periods.
particularly studied computer chess: also because it allows applications in other fields, from telephone to psychology. Italian Giancarlo Delli Colli is the author of the software Equinox (last Genoa Science Festival has challenged the two chess players Sedina Elena and Igor Efimov). There was also a game between the two programs Equinox and arrow, this one an Italian, Gemma Stefano, won the first. The intelligent software will also replace your doctor or scientist. The robot scientist Adam of Aberystwyth University and Cambridge University (UK) has developed a research hypothesis, verified and repeated the experiment.
There is also a journalist-robot, a program developed capable of writing articles, for now only sport (baseball). The project, called Stats Monkey, is the Intelligent Information Laboratory at Northwestern University in America: everything you need, it seems, are crawlers that mixed expressions of human language and references to previous articles. As a sports article contains standard information, the system can generate text automatically, including the title and pictures.
Science fiction? No: the California-based company Demand Media, which has partnered with Google, believes in journalism, on-demand, generated - at least in part - to the computer. The algorithm searches through the media demand of search terms entered on Google, identifies the keywords on which to link advertisers and produces thousands of topics for articles and videos that match what is required on the web. The story is then developed by freelancer "human" - at least for now.
And in Italy? "The Italian leads the robotics community, and counting the supremacy in Germany, France and Sweden. We do not lack the brains, our problem is resources and facilities, "he says Stefano Chiaverini, director of the Department of Automation, Electromagnetism, Information Engineering and Industrial Mathematics, University of Cassino.
The ministerial funds are low (10 million euro for the whole area of \u200b\u200bindustrial engineering and information), but thanks to the Seventh Framework Programme EU robotics has obtained 400 million, of which approximately 10% will return to Italy . "The University of Naples Federico II, together with my university, the Second University of Naples, the University of Salerno, the University and the University of Basilicata Roma Tre, is a partner of a large European project on robotics, Echord, led by the Technical University of Monaco, who has received the most funding ever given to the EU industry (19 million euro). Echord put emphasis on targeted research to industrial application, facilitating technology transfer from labs to companies, "concludes Chiaverini," just so the programs become robots and consumer electronics products. Privacy sensitive data and use Google in trouble in Germany
The German government is preparing an offensive against Google Analytics, the system used by 1.8 million sites in Germany - and quite common in Italy - to measure its traffic online. This was stated by the newspaper Die Zeit online, according to which federal authorities could even get to impose fines of up to € 50 thousand for the sites that they continue to use the Google.
In the target of the federal and the Länder that are responsible for data protection of the privacy of citizens, is over the tool that collects information about users browsing the Internet. According to its use would be contrary to German law, even if you do not have defined the measures to be taken to encourage site managers to abandon it.
Two objections to Analytics. First, the system combining the data from use of Sites users with other information collected through Google services, such as Gmail, share them with third parties, for failing to provide the user the ability to withhold consent. The fear of authority is that Google is able to derive the profiles of millions of Internet users visited sites by rebuilding their interests, their lifestyle, habits, health conditions. This ID card would also be connected to an IP address, then - in short, say the authorities guarantee - to an individual.
Secondly, they are concerned that the information is stored by Google on servers located on American soil. This would violate the law German requirements. For
Meyerdierks responsible for the safety of data for Google in Germany, disputes this reading. The Safe Harbor Agreement between the EU and the U.S., says poravoce ensures that data is stored in an appropriate manner. As for profiling, the ability for users to delete cookies, small pieces of code that remain on your computer when surfing the internet allowing our traceability, putting them safe from unwanted profiling. That would in any case anonymous.
is expected that the German federal and state authorities to take a final decision within a week. Analytcs is one of the most used by Google's free webmaster.

Women's Forum
Just to media stereotypes
ROME - Where are the women "true", those inhabiting the reality, and not their counterpart that dominate newspapers and television?
ROME - Where are the women "true", those inhabiting the reality, and not their counterpart that dominate newspapers and television?

Part of this application, the next group meeting organized by "Women of Reality" at the International Women's House in Rome, Via della Lungara 19.
The starting point of the organizers is well summarized by the name the group chose to give themselves: "Women of Reality," in contrast with the false stereotypes suggested by the media system. Italian newspapers and the media, increasingly the dominant female model is that of a woman who seems to have only one goal the seduction of the male more rich and powerful as possible. In so doing, lose sight of the women's "real", which have much more in the head with respect to "marry the son of the Premier." The public forum scheduled for Saturday, November 21 starting at 17, aims to speak of "other women", and examine how the media can give visibility to the multiplicity of women's experiences and take a role of analysis and criticism of current events. This is the second meeting of the "Women of Reality," after what took place in Milan on October 5 with the presence of more than 200 people.
The meeting on Saturday to join many journalists and personalities from the world of culture.
We begin with an introductory report by Chiara Volpato, Professor of Social Psychology at Bicocca in Milan, and the philosopher Michael Marzano, a signatory along with the appeal Nadia Urbinati and Barbara Spinelli Republic of the dignity of women.
The forum will be screened also some photo galleries of women "offended by the Premier" who have sent their photos to our site.
Among others, are invited to the meeting director of TG3, Bianca Berlinguer, President of the Democratic Party, Rosy Bindi, confederal secretary of the CGIL, Susanna Camusso, the Director of the Unit, Conchita De Gregorio, the director of Espresso, Daniela Hamaui, the director of the Century in Italy, Flavia Perina, general secretary of the UGL Renata Polverini, writer Lidia Ravera, President of Cpo Fnsi Lucia Visca.

Os Google Chrome is all
not on all computers. A little 'surprise than expected, Google merely release the source code to the programming community, denying rumors of a coming to market within a few weeks. The news was really unexpected, however, the news that the Google OS will not be downloaded on each computer, but will only work on machines fitted to the time of sale. The "Google PC" will be the netbook, the ultraportable designed to navigate, and will be marketed in late 2010 by major computer manufacturers with which the search engine has reached an agreement. No revelation on the final price, even if it was specified that it should not depart from the current figure business netbook (ie between 250 and 350 euro).
Why Chrome Os. To explain the decision to launch the new program, Google has shown that the trends taking place within the world of computing. First, the convergence of platforms, with computers that are smaller (and become netbook) and mobile phones which grow (and become smart phone or tablet PC). To this must then add the application growth "cloud based", as using the server on the Internet to operate and store data (gmail, facebook, youtube etc). The combination of these trends leads then to think about a total revolution in the computer as it is structured today, heir to a conception of science that goes back to a time when the Web did not exist. Less power in his own car in exchange for faster performance on the network in short.
announced success? When Google introduces a new product immediately attracts the attention of fans and media. Yet the challenge it faces Chrome Os is one of the most arduous and difficult to predict the success it is today. Nibble market share from Windows, now in its seventh version, is not easy, according to data from Net Applications, system from Microsoft is installed on more than nine computers every ten, while the rival Mac and Linux are the crumbs of the market, respectively, five and one percent.
The Os Google Chrome also does not point to all the systems, but only to the increasingly large niche of netbooks. And if the supremacy of the Mountain View giant is not questioned on the face of online services, you can not say the same for the programs "classics": the browser around which the operating system from Google, Chrome, has been appreciated by experienced users, but one year after publication, is installed on each computer about two percent, compared with 64% of Internet Microsoft Explorer (the units of which, however, falling steadily for some years) and the open source Firefox browser (installed on a quarter of the computer).

generation network applications social networks. "Not at all isolated, curious"
They have more friends, are more tolerant and open to diversity, continue to prefer face to face relationships with family and loved ones, but they write very few letters. Here is the picture of the generation that uses mobile phones and social networks.
think that behind the computer screen is anti-social people hiding and fearing the world? We were wrong. To say this is an American survey conducted by Pew Internet & American Life Project , a non-profit and non-party that provides information on attitudes and trends in the United States and around the world.
This time to be analyzed is the relationship between isolation and technology, with particular interest in those means that over the last twenty years have replaced the old mode of interaction. And the result is amazing. Among the more than 3 thousand adult Americans interviewed by telephone, who frequents social networking sites, blogs or use the phone has more opportunities to forge relationships. The volume of social relationships is on average higher than 12% among those who use mobile phones and 9 among those attending sharing sites or send emails. Since the last report on the topic dating back to 1985, number of people who confide their secrets but fell from three to two. But the use of technology is not related to this decrease.
Indeed, for those using the new social network contacts are more numerous and diverse than the others: only 45% of respondents to talk about important issues with people outside their family while he does 55% of Internet users. Those who have exchanged photos online, 61% chance of higher than average to have discussions with stakeholders with different political interests. Bloggers have a 95% chance of having relations with people of different ethnicity from their own. In other words, the technologies of communication are factor of social integration.
According to the new Pew Research network to help expand their horizons and break down geographical and racial barriers. It turns out for example that those who use the phone has a larger pool of contacts of 25%, who is an Internet user base of 15% and the percentage is even more for those who are a sailor or a habitual user service chat or sharing images. Furthermore, people with whom to discuss important topics are for those who use the phone number greater than 12% for those who share files or use chat 9%. Internet users are more likely to frequent bars by 45%, 69% eating in a restaurant and 42% for a walk in a public park. Who uses the new technologies are also those who practice more volunteering on a local basis, as well as youth groups and charities.
One thing that will console the many detractors of the new forms of sociality is certainly relative isolation. Today, as in 1985, the percentage of American citizens who may be considered socialmente isolati continua ad essere pari al 6%.
"The figure is part of a typical trend in human history% u2013 says Keith Hampton, the main author of the report and professor at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania% u2013 the same happened when he was introduced to the landline and felt for the first time that it was possible to obtain social support outside the circle of the neighborhood. Social networks are just another example of how man uses communication technologies to achieve various kinds of interactions with people at a distance first that we would never have reached. "

space want to sing , grow, make mistakes and take the plunge of divine wisdom.
Area give me space
